An exciting game finished with Moycullen emerging winners by 5 points in the end. Moycullen got off to a great start with some fine outside shooting but Claregalway managed to reel them back and sneak a 1 point lead at half time. Only a couple of points separated the teams for the rest of the game. Tough physical defense played by both sides meant that scoring opportunities were scarce. With Moycullen up by 2 points and the game and shot clock running out, Moycullen’s Dara Canavan was forced to take a long off balance 3 point shot that banked in. Game over to the delight of the Moycullen team who’ve been close but struggling to get a win for a while. Well deserved win by Moycullen but the Claregalway boys should be happy with their performance.
